It seems quite a while since I have done any blogging on the site or painting , largely due to sudden events
in respect of a potential house move for me to Lower St Clears in Carmarthenshire. I was sitting in my Fiat Doblo
painting vehicle when my mobile rang to confirm that my buyers of a year ago had finally had an offer on their house
from cash buyers which they accepted so the process of moving was given the green light.
In the interim , I have been busy sorting things out, selling unwanted pieces of furniture, preliminary packing and
looking at a range of houses in St Clears. So far nothing has proved suitable, but given the timescale I may
have to consider renting in order to proceed with the sale so will see.
The painting has rather taken a backseat , but I went to visit this morning one of my final painting sites
near a beautiful fishery complex in the tiny hamlet of Blaenpennal nr Tregaron. The scene I was working on
has changed so radically that I felt it was best to simply accept the painting and the time frame it was done in.
But in order to go back to the painting now , as the preparation elements of the move are in place, I will
go further afield and I would like to concentrate on simply working on cloud studies which will stand me
in good stead once I am settled. Near St Clears there are two breathtaking estuaries of LLansteffan and
Laugharne beloved by Dylan Thomas so plenty to look forward too, its just a wee house now....
